AMOUREUSE, ELLE COUVRAIT UN DÉTENU DE CADEAUX: UNE SURVEILLANTE DE PRISON INTERDITE D’EXERCER
A supervisor at the Roanne (Loire) penitentiary center who had given a mobile phone to a prisoner she was in love with was sentenced Tuesday evening to a definitive ban from exercising this profession.
This 41-year-old woman, « who had a very good record of service in the prison administration where she had been in office for 17 years, was also sentenced to a suspended fine of 2000 euros », told AFP on Wednesday the Roanne prosecutor’s office, confirming information from the regional daily Le Progrès .
In March, she was suspended from her duties and placed under judicial supervision for having provided, out of love, a cell phone to an inmate with whom she said she wanted to « stay in touch ». Besides this device and SIM cards, she had also illegally handed him clothes and food on Christmas and Valentine’s Day.
